The person making those charges thinks that guild leaders have the power to compel lowly members to do things they don't want to. The fact that he never does the things he doesn't want to, because the guild leaders have no power over him, consistently escapes him.

Ask anyone who had to suffer through the "pink cupcake tabard" phase, which was a direct result of someone demanding we change the tabard, but not being specific about what they wanted it changed to be.

You have the power to /gremove anyone you want. You have the power to set bank privileges and move people around to control what their privileges are. You have the power to /gdisband and get all the bank contents sent to your mailbox. You have the power to buy bank tabs and set icons an names for them. You have the power to promote or demote to Rank 1. You can type /gleader. And you can change the tabard.

Apparently this constitutes a scary amount of power.

i really want to know where all this power i'm supposed to have is. mostly i have the power of not being able to get anything accomplished, and of having to try to wrangle cats, neither of which seems very powerful or all-mighty.

I read a lot of the threads. Honestly, this is a really down time for guild problems. People have lots of other stuff to occupy them, and most of it is stuff that you don't need a guild for. So the GRF is pretty slow.

There are some good questions about DKP, and I'm thinking of writing something about DKP inflation and Gaps.

Ugh...I'm running on less than 4 hrs sleep. I'm the organizer for our Cub Scout Pack's popcorn sale. I was up until 2am double and triple checking the numbers to make sure I was ordering the right amount of product.

And yes, Guild Leader, Den Leader, and also "Popcorn Kernel", I am in fact a masochist as well as a sadist on level one gnomes.
